The new gorget project

So, I have an aluminum gorget that is to large for me and it bruises my collar bone. Last night I decided to make a new one. It gave me the chance to make something with compound curves and a rolled edge. It is just in the beginning stages but I hope to have it ready for Blackstone Raids next weekend.

I have just started a contemporary craft degree and as I played in Jewelry and silversmithing I started to think of my makes as "finds". My grandfather researched our family tree and he found we descend from the Vikings, so have always been interested in this in a small way. Your etching is great, love that you know the importance if giving your wife jewels too!
